To create a cup of filter coffee requires many "tricks" and sophistication. From seed selection to preparation, it all requires dedication and meticulousness. First, you have to have traditional coffee beans, roasted to the right degree to be both fragrant and not burnt. In Vietnam, almost only Robusta coffee beans from the Central Highlands meet the standards to create a cup of filter coffee with a taste that many people love.

You can easily identify Robusta coffee beans by characteristics such as round and small beans, the middle groove is often straight. Coffee beans are usually dark in color, with a caffeine content of 2 - 4%, more than almost twice as much as Arabica beans. This is also the most grown seed in Vietnam.

At the stage of preparation, the filter must be heated before adding about 20g of coffee, then pour 25 ml of boiling water into it. After waiting for 3 minutes for the coffee powder to expand, the brewer continues to add 50 ml of boiling water, sugar or iced milk depending on taste to get a standard drink.
